CBL Charitable Foundation has given $2,500 to the City of Greer Police Department’s Cops for Tots program for the children in the Greer community. This program is entering its 34th year. This program is now one of the largest outreach projects in the city reaching hundreds of local families each December by providing Christmas gifts for children who otherwise would have nothing to open on Christmas Day.
“Without the support of our community and local businesses like CBL State Savings Bank, the program would not be the success that it is. Due to the generous monetary donation from CBL State Savings Bank, we can provide toys to many children who otherwise may not receive gifts this Christmas. There is no greater feeling than seeing the excitement and smiles of the children as they walk with an officer and select the toys they would like for Christmas,” said Capt. Patrick Fortenberry.
